The use of drones or unmanned aerial vehicles near the Perak Jubilee Hall, here which will be the nomination centre for the Kuala Kangsar parliamentary by-election tomorrow is prohibited.
A police spokseperson ACP Shaharon Anuar Abdul Latiff said police would disable the drone and find those responsible for operating the device.
Shaharon Anuar who is also Perak police contingent management divison head also advised party supporters not to provoke one another during the nomination day.
“A total of 2,940 personnel will be deployed during the Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar parliamentary by-election to ensure security in the area.
“Some 1,381 policemen will be deployed to ensure a smooth nomination process,” he told reporters here today.
Meanwhile, Perak Election Commission director Ahmad Adli Abdullah said all preparations for the nomination process at the Jubli Perak Hall went smoothly and the centre would be opened for an hour from 9 am.
“Only three people from each party, namely the candidate, proposer and seconder will be allowed into the nomination centre,” he said.
