Another Mara Junior Science College (MRSM) will be built in Perak for children of the police force, announced Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Speaking during a function at the police tactical centre for the Kuala Kangsar by-election, he said this was to ensure the welfare of children of police personnel were well taken care of.
“MRSM for college kids will be built in Perak this year. There is one for police personnel in Kulim, so it’s fair to have one for the police officers here,” he said.
Quarters for police officers throughout the nation will also be checked by the Home Ministry to ensure that they live in comfortable conditions.
“Some of the quarters that I’ve seen looks deplorable and we will work on improving that.”
Dr Ahmad Zahid also praised police personnel stationed at the Kuala Kangsar and Sungai Besar by-elections for keeping things peaceful, adding that campaigns held were by far the most peaceful in the country.
